How to Generate a HAR File for Troubleshooting
When errors happen within our Online Platform, it is sometimes difficult for our programmers to pinpoint the root problem quickly. Often, there are many individual local factors involved too.
To find the root cause, we might ask you to help our programmers by generating a HAR file.
It sounds complicated. But don't worry, we'll make it simple in this step by step guide.
Steps to Generate a HAR-File in Your Browser
To start, choose your browser.
1. Close all incognito windows
2. Open a new incognito window (CTRL SHIFT N)
3. Open the three dots menu in the top right
4. On the menu, navigate to More tools > Developer tools
5. In the Developer Tools panel, select the Network tab
6. Check the Preserve Log checkbox
7. Perform the same steps that resulted in the error

- Logging into the Online Platform: https://my.3dplans.com/
- Ordering a new project
- Submitting design information
8. In the Network tab, click the down arrow to download the HAR file
9. Save the HAR file
10. Email the file to our team
